A few of the companies where our undergraduate students have completed internships within the scope of the ME 399 and ME 499 courses that they have taken on a mandatory basis are given in the following table. Our students have the opportunity to do internships in various fields such as the defense industry, production, energy systems, etc.
In addition to the compulsory internship, our students can voluntarily attend the candidate engineering internship programs of companies during the semester.

"Hello, I'm Aslıhan. I am a senior mechanical engineering student. I have been doing an internship for a total of 11 months since the summer of 2020, including 2 months for a mandatory internship course. Thanks to the fact that our university supports the internship and covers the insurance of voluntary internships for this, I was able to do the internship for such a long time. Thanks to these internships, I got the opportunity to see many departments, cultures of different companies, institutionality, communication, and behavior in the business environment before I started my business life. Having completed an internship in these departments, I saw which departments and what kind of jobs would and would not satisfy me as a mechanical engineer after graduation. I also had the opportunity to see production and test methods that I would not have seen in a classroom environment with my factory experience, as well as errors. I think that mechanical engineering will be learned with experience, and that's why I recommend all my department friends to do as many internships as possible.”
