It is a laboratory that houses devices such as a three-dimensional printer and a vibration test device. Vibration and strain measurement devices on the beam are briefly described below.
- The vibration experiment set, which includes the beam, spring system and shock absorber parts, is designed to show the free and forced vibration to the student. This experimental assembly is included in the ME 425 Mechanical Vibrations and ME 302 Experimental Engineering courses.
- In this experimental setup, there is a cantilever beam with one end fixed and the other free end. There are two electrical resistance strain gauges on the beam, which is the most common sensor developed to measure static and dynamic forces. In this setup, strain values at two different points of a cantilever beam are measured using the Wheatstone Bridge. This experimental setup is shown in ME 302 – Experimental Engineering course.
