TED University Mechanical Engineering Department,
aims to train undergraduate graduates who are
- Ready to work as engineers or who have the knowledge to continue their engineering graduate programs.
- Having internalized the basic concepts and principles of mechanical engineering, able to learn, analyze and critically evaluate different applications on their own.
- Open to teamwork, enterprising, able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, social, versatile and cultured
- Aware of its professional and ethical responsibilities, constantly renewing its knowledge and skills to compete in a global environment.
The Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Program has been designed based on a liberal education approach that reveals the creative and different characteristics of the students and allows them to develop themselves in the direction they want, in order to achieve these goals. In this program, which makes a difference with other universities with this feature, students can take courses on the basic and current issues of mechanical engineering, while taking non-field elective courses where they can find the opportunity to develop and specialize.
It is our aim to train mechanical engineers who are versatile, who can know and follow their environment and the world closely, and who can follow the developments in their profession and the latest technology. In line with this purpose and as a requirement of student-centered education, we consider our students as colleagues of the near future from the very first day and develop our relations with them as faculty members within this scope. In addition to the education in the courses, we consider that one of the most important features of our education program is to enrich the processes of application, using the computer environment extensively, and gaining knowledge through experiments in laboratories that include modern engineering tools. In addition, design projects that students actively participate in, demonstrate their creativity and realize through teamwork constitute one of the basic parts of our education.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering aims to train mechanical engineers who have TED tradition, are sought after by society and industry with their different characteristics and are accepted in the world.
